Agreed: Better than Genesis - I was introduced to Job for a Cowboy at Gigantour 08. I dug their set, and I got to meet Johnny and Brent after the set. Really nice, down to earth guys.So afterwards I decided to check them out. First I got Genesis, which I liked, but then I found Doom. I immediately loved it, and 3 of my 4 favorite JFaC songs are from this album including one of the greatest metal songs of the new millennium in Knee Deep.I kind of wish they hadn t abandoned the pig squeals after this album, but I understand their reasoning for doing so.Ignore the elitists - this is an album for metal fans to add to their collection.
i couldn t help myself after reading some of these reviews - I just had to make this comment/review. ok first off to all the douche bags who label people who appreciate a good band as obssesed and scene get a life. label s are for children. and also to the other type of douche bag who likes to rip apart a band because the break down s reeked, or the drumming was sloppy, ohh and my favorite it was already done before get a life! my point is everything has already been done. NOTHING IS ORIGINAL. especially in this day and age. get a life, stop being a hard a** douche bag, find something better to do with your time besides slapping labels on people s foreheads, and keep it metal! If you don t like a band fine, just give an actual GOOD thought out reason that actually sounds intelligent as to why one thinks they suck. ask for my review, the vocals are amazing, the drumming is insanely brutal (unlike the opinion of some), and the cd gives you those goosebumps and chills that make you just want to mosh while blasting it in your car or on your headphones walking down the street. =D a must buy.
awesomely awesome - Bought this EP yesterday after owning the the full length Genesis for a while. Different to the album, in my eyes it might even be better, but as with anything Job for a cowboy related, it kicks butt. Just buy it and blast it loud. It rocks, period.
What the? - There is just no reason that these guys should be this good. The songwriting, technical skill, and vocal delivery are just amazing. Stunning. And you d be hard pressed to find anybody else like it out there right now. Absolutely brutal.
terrible - the drumming is sloppy and the blast beats were rough. the singing is terrible. and considering the fact its been done before, it was pretty bad.
